1. Naughty Boy ft. Sam Smith, "La La La"
Naughty Boy is the nom de plume of British producer Shahid Khan, who has created hits for British stars like Cheryl Cole, Leona Lewis, and Wiley. "La La La" went straight to no. 1 on the U.K. Singles Chart, ending the unholy monthlong run of Daft Punk's "Get Lucky." "Get Lucky" still has the top spot in a chokehold on numerous worldwide charts, but "La La La" is the U.K.'s fastest selling single of 2013. Singer Sam Smith is having a year just as great as Pharrell's, who does the vocals on this song and Disclosure's "Latch." if you're over disco and ready for U.K. garage, "La La La" could be just your type of song. Also the video is about a crypto-historical creepypasta "Bolivian folk legend" and the dog is a chow chow.
2. MoneySpinner ft. Preet Brar & Sudesh Kumari, "Maahi Veh Maahi"
MoneySpinner is a Birmingham-based production duo. Preet Brar and Sudesh Kumari are both Punjabi singers, but their parts are being lip-synched here by actors. This is a remake/remodel of Didar Sandhu and Amar Noorie's original.

3. DJ Sanj & Jay Status, "Jawaab"
Jay Status and DJ Sanj getting their Gatsby on in the various rooms of a giant fancy country house. Bangers for the study! Jay Status is an awesome name for a bhangra Nate Dogg.

4. Arijit Singh, "Tum Hi Ho"
The big power ballad from Aashiqui 2, the semi-sequel to 1990 blockbuster romantic musical drama Aashiqui. Aashiqui 2 is about the tempestuous relationship between musicians Arohi (Shraddha Kapoor) and Rahul "RJ" Jaykar (Aditya Roy Kapoor), as Rahul struggles with his alcoholism and anger issues. The movie received mostly positive reviews, earning comparisons to A Star Is Born. "Tum Hi Ho," written by Mithoon Sharma, is a huge hit (and rightly so).

5. Atif Aslam & Shreya Ghoshal, "Jeene Laga Hoon"
This video for "Jeene Laga Hoon" comes from the trailer for the film of the same name. No, I'm not sure what the set piece with plastic horses in the desert is all about, but I'm intrigued!

7. Imran Khan, "Satisfya"
Trappy rap singing from Dutch Pakistani rapper Imran Khan. I might listen to this strictly as an instrumental.
Best YouTube Comment: "he just uses heavy beats in his tracks...otherwise anyone can sing his songs..just listen amplifier carefully..its a bit similer..........................using lamborghinis or cheetas(animal) wont help a track to be a hit.....its not a big deal imran…." — rajneeshbhaskaran
8. Garry Sandhu ft. DJ Dips, "Youtube"
It was tricky finding the song called "Youtube" on YouTube even for a high-level Internet dungeon master like myself. Kind of like looking for "The Band" on Google without adding any extra terms like "Levon Helm" or "Canadian American" Good thing tracking down this song was totally worth it.
