NBA Playoffs Playthrough: Celtics-Heat
By Chris Ryan
By the power vested in me by the poltergeist of Dick Van Dyke, I declare that it's Friday and it's time for another one of Anthony Richardson's CPU vs. CPU NBA Playoffs Playthroughs. This week, Anthony is taking on the contentious Celtics-Heat Eastern Conference Finals.
One of the great advances Anthony has made in basketball commentary is his ability to see the floor, see the offensive sets and breakdown what teams are doing. When you hear him describe the Heat's opening possession as, "Chalmers bounces, gets bored, gives it to a friend," I mean you're just not getting that anywhere else.
Other highlights this week include insurance salesman Erik Spoelstra, the nicknaming of Mario Chalmers as "Naughty, Naughty Mr. Turkey," and the beginning of what is sure to be a national craze: shouting "THUNDERCATS" every time Mike Miller take a 3.
This week, the prizes are back. So guess the score of Heat-Celts, Game 3, right in the comments. If you guess right you will win a picture of Kevin Garnett and his long-lost brother, '70s British sitcom star Alf Garnett.
