Chicago Cubs pitcher Kerry Wood will reportedly announce his retirement after his next outing. There were initial reports that Wood would be calling it a career after Friday's Cubs game against the White Sox. But there are now suggestions that Wood would like to pitch one last time at Wrigley, hopefully this weekend, during the series with the ChiSox. According to teammate Ryan Dempster, "He doesn't want to do it for the recognition … just to have one last time and know that."
