Paradiso Villa is located in Sanur, which is in south Bali.  Sanur was once the main tourist area in Bali before Kuta was built up.  Kuta now is very congested with many street hawkers and souvenir shops.  Sanur is much quieter than Kuta, but still has a lot of fine restaurants and shops.   It has beautiful beaches with a coral reef just a quarter mile off shore.

Sanur still retains a lot of the Balinese culture and ones stills sees traditional dress, ceremonies and offerings being made all the time. 

The master bedroom suite

Where as Kuta is "tourist Squalor" at its worst, Nusa Dua is at the other end of the spectrum.  Nusa Dua is a "planned" resort area where most of the larger hotels are located.  Unfortunately, they went to the other extreme and it lacks any local character and reminds us of Hawaii and Miami.

We find Sanur to be a good compromise with sufficient facilities, but still retaining much of the local character.

The family room

Sanur is centrally located for all of the major attractions.  It is 12 minutes to Kuta, 20 minutes to Nusa Dua, and 45-60 minutes to Ubud.
