A great day of scuba diving yesterday and a walk around the island. On this island (Amergris Caye) the people are a mixture of Mexican and Caribbean and speak "Spanglish", a mixture of Spanish and English. Whereas on the main island of Belize they speak Creole. Tourism is the only business on this island and the people, while poor, seem to live well and are not impoverished. Everything is clean and there is that usual relaxed island atmosphere.
