It's a blogger extravaganza as Jonah Keri goes wall-to-wall covering MLB's pennant races. Patrick Sullivan of Over The Monster tackles the Red Sox, their historic collapse, The Ryan Lavarnway Experience, and how everything could be made right with two more wins (or maybe just one!). Steve Slowinski of DRaysBay covers the Rays, a triple play for the ages, and how Andrew Friedman may have secretly sabotaged his two biggest rivals. Craig Calcaterra of NBC Sports Hardball Talk is pessimistic about his beloved Braves, their deeply flawed lineup and depleted pitching staff, but knows they too can still the salvage the season. Dayn Perry of ESPN Insider and FanGraphs is loving the Cardinals' stirring comeback and the chance to play with house money, as he ponders the team's loaded offense and much improved bullpen.
We then tackle the six division winners with Baseball Tonight's Doug Glanville. Can anyone stop the Phillies and their stacked rotation? Is Arizona a team of destiny? Who's got an answer for that Brewers offense? Will the Yankees come out of the AL? Could Texas win a second straight pennant? Is Doug Fister the key to the Tigers' hopes, and maybe the single most important player in the postseason?
Sit back and relax, seamheads. It's a power-packed hour of baseball talk.
